 i am so sad that the challenge is over. although i had some mild setbacks that kept me from doing as well as i would have i liked. but i still gained many healthy habits that i hope i will continue with. and it was worth it just to be more consistent with my scripture study, which to be honest was sorely hurting before i started the challenge. thank you so much for joining with me. any last thoughts?

hey guys... anyone still around?
sooooooooooooo. i am the lamest wellness challenge blog leader ever. i had a terrible uti that lasted for months and actually turned out to be another health condition. i kind of got super bummed out and slowly gave up on the challenge. i am so lame. but good job to all of you who are still holding strong! looks like we only have a week or two left. i am starting body for life over. i need it, sometimes i feel out of control with life and it defiantly makes things easier. if anyone cares to join me you should! if you officially sign up you could win $50,000! go to transformation.com and sign up. i am rededicating myself to being healthy... i feel like crap and i don't like it.

week 4 already! how are you guys doing? anyone lagging in motivation? i say we do a challenge. does anyone have any ideas?

remember that this week is pioneer day so you get an extra free day. if you live in cali and want to pick another day besides saturday, feel free. just remember 2 free days this week. i have a small problem with turning free days into more than a day.

goals this week?
mine is to starting body for life again. i did it before and loved it. i saw results right away, then i got lazy. if you sign up for bill phillips new challenge on transformation.com you can even win lots of money. it is a great resource and the community is so friendly and helpful.

1.i had three little boys in 4 years. they are so fun and i am so lucky to be their mama.
2. i have an affinity for punk rock and butt rock
3.i love lost. RIP. i am still having withdrawls. i think i am over it and then it hits me... i am so not over it.
4.i majored in home ec, yes that really is a college degree :)
5. i love disneyland. we have been going to disneyland every year since i was born and i still love it. it has taken on a whole new love taking my kids with me. i love to see how happy and excited they get over the smallest things. i save ever penny so that i can spoil them rotten.

how did everyones week 2 on the challenge go? you all took the 4th off right? i sure enjoyed it. we went to the parade, had a bbq, went to friends for fireworks, went to the big fireworks,had another bbq, big breakfast and went swimming! it was a fun and long weekend for sure.
 what did you guys do this weekend?

what is your goal for the week?

mine is to spend  some time on me. i love to sew and craft but i hardly ever get anything in. my sweet mother in law just bought me some amazingly cute fabric and the pattern to make a quilt and bag. i need to spend some quality time working on things that make me happy.

How did everyones first week go?

*i am learning that i really needed to be better about scripture/ spiritual reading. i love starting the day off right.
* i'm not feeling so great ( bladder infection) and my kids have been mucho sicko this week, guess what i do when that happens? i get lazy. thank goodness i made up some super handy dandy point trackers to keep me organized. i have a few tips for you. in the catagories where you need more than one thing ( water, produce) i just kept tally in the bottom right hand corner every time i drank 8 ozs water or ate a fruit or veggie, then i didn't have to go back and think about it. also at the bottm right above total points there is skinny little row, i used that for keeping track of vitamins.

An Idea

I love me some ghetto gas station food.  I really love 7 eleven's nachos with a hole lot
of chili and cheese and really really want to partake of some today.   Then a
light bulb went off in my head to remake it in a healthy way.
So today for lunch I substituted the chips for a bed of lettuce a thin layer of chili with some
yummy crunchy veggies on top.  I substituted the nacho cheese for the shredded Mexican blend
 and topped it off with a little salsa.  I was completely satisfied and proud of myself for coming up
with a healthier version of some yummy gas station ghetto goodness.

I think for a treat this week I'm going to make lettuce rolls with yogurt and a fresh fruit puree.
To the yogurt I'm going to add some lemon zest and honey. (does honey count as a sweet?)
If it does then I'll just let the natural sugar in the fruit flavor it.

Does anyone else have any ideas of how we can trick ourselves into being a little more healthy?

I am sure there are a lot of us working on a perfect week this week so I asked Jackie if I could throw a little prize in the ring. At the end of the week I will draw a name to win a little goodie (or two) from my etsy shop.

(I plan on rocking this one all summer long. So far so good.)

i'm giving everyone 2 weeks to get the money to me, after that i'll have to cut you from the competition ( and i really don't want to do that) i've decided the let people join if they still want up to next monday, but they might take a point loss since they probably won't be on task. so far i have the money from-

my goals for this week is {1} to not turn on my computer until i have read my scriptures and finished my morning housework. {2} and to do something fun with my boys every day. nothing major, just some quality time with them where i don't feel stressed or hurried.
